At Wonderlit, we believe that every child is inherently creative and that it is important to foster young talents through a comprehensive platform for their artistic exploration. By delving into the realms of creativity through our speech and drama lessons, we create an environment where young minds can flourish, allowing them to grow in confidence, creativity, self-esteem and empathy while developing critical speech skills.
Our Wonderlit Perform programme focuses on enhancing oral communication skills through development of creative expression and language proficiency while fostering emotional intelligence and empathy and improving body language in our children. By bringing the essence of stage acting to young learners, we provide them the opportunities to experience performing in front of an audience, building confidence to embrace the world ahead of them.
Our Wonderlit speech and drama curriculum is purposefully crafted with fun elements aimed at supporting our students in their speech and confidence development, as well as their social interaction skills. Through the utilization of drama techniques and literary works, including but not limited to characterization, monologues, recitals, storytelling exercises, and stage works, along with speech tools such as tongue twisters, we help students improve their diction, enunciation, and overall communication and confidence. Our lessons cover voice training to enhance voice projection and articulation, as well as speech works to improve speech quality, clarity, and fluency. Additionally, we nurture confidence building through body language activities and individual classroom and stage performances.
Our students in the speech and drama classes will work towards two stage performances at the Wonderlit studio, showcasing their progress in speech, confidence, and cognitive skills to a live audience of parents at the end of term 2 and term 4. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to prepare for a graded Speech and Drama or Performance Arts examination held at the Wonderlit studio by Trinity College London at the end of the year. This examination recognizes their personal or group achievement in preparation, research, practice, and display of proficiency in communication and performance skills.

"My children love to sing and dance around the house, but as soon as they’re in front of a group of people, they are completely different – they’re quiet, shy and frightened. With Speech & Drama classes, they are able to more confidently interact with adults, even strangers!"
“My children have gained lots since being introduced to Speech & Drama classes. They are learning techniques to help them remember pieces and poems, expanding their vocabulary, using correct grammar and pronunciation and gaining confidence for speaking in public."
"My child has started attending Speech & Drama classes since 3 and this has served her so well in the last few years. She is so much more confident and is able to articulate and express herself much better than her peers. Most importantly, she is learning important life skills!"
