In the Write Kindergarten programme, we focus on imparting the fundamentals of writing to our students. This involves acclimatizing young writers to the building blocks of sentence formation where they will explore spelling, grammar and punctuation proficiency. In addition, lessons will focus on developing our students’ fluency and confidence in expressing themselves through vocabulary exposure and enrichment.
Our students will be guided through different genres suitable for their age-group in each term. At the beginning of the term, they will be given mentor texts that best represent the literary genres they are learning.
Throughout the term, students will gain exposure to literary and language conventions of the chosen genre, and begin to develop their language and writing skills.
