Wonderlit Speak: Lower Primary

In the Speak Lower Primary programme, we focus on building our students’ speech foundations, helping them express their thoughts and develop articulation skills while providing opportunities to speak more fluently and fervently in relatable conversations. Students learn to describe and discuss objects and pictures in a stimulus-based context, or elaborate on topics with greater understanding, demonstrating their ability to respond logically.

Through a structured process that includes mind-mapping, sequencing, scripting, and presentation, our students learn to prepare and organize their speeches on a variety of topics. In addition to honing their verbal communication skills, they develop an awareness of essential body language and facial expressions needed to effectively convey moods and attitudes, making their presentations more impactful and engaging.

To further enrich their learning experience, drama activities are integrated to help students envision topics in imaginative settings. This approach not only enhances their ability to respond clearly and appropriately in conversations but also fosters essential presentation skills, including listening, interaction, and information sharing through role play. By engaging in these activities, students become more confident in expressing their ideas both verbally and non-verbally.
