In the Fluent Reader programme, we prioritize the development of students’ intermediate comprehension skills while simultaneously strengthening their sound manipulation abilities. Our ultimate goal is to enhance their reading stamina and fluency, enabling them to read texts accurately, quickly, and with expressive flair.
Through our comprehensive reading and phonics lessons, we strive to elevate students’ reading proficiency, empowering them to better comprehend complex texts. Within these lessons, students will acquire valuable skills such as making inferences, identifying central themes, and sequencing stories.
To expand their vocabulary, our students will be introduced to the concept of graphemes. Moreover, they will learn to identify compound words, contractions, and sight words. As an additional benefit, we incorporate chapter books into our curriculum, fostering a genuine love for reading among our students.
