Dive into the exciting world of literacy on a magical journey to Madagascar, inspired by the beloved story by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath. Through rhythmic narratives and captivating tales, learn and refine sound blending, word segmentation, and sight word recognition skills, all aimed at enhancing phonological awareness. With the help of the Wonderlit Sounds Monsters, phonics learning will become a fun and unforgettable adventure!

 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Letter Sounds (A – Z): Develop essential letter recognition skills through playful games and exercises.
  2. Sounds Blending: Learn to blend short vowels, digraphs and letters to create words (up to 5 sounds).
  3. Sight Words & Vocabulary: Acquire 50 sight words or more, and broaden vocabulary.
  4. Reading & Comprehension: Practise reading developmentally appropriate sentences and passages.
  5. Pre-writing Skills: Enhance writing and cultivate basic phonetic spelling through fine motor activities.

For 3 to 5 years old
