Choose from a selection of innovative camps and let your children be inspired to find their voice, creativity and confidence in our 2-full-day and 5-half-day camps! 

Book before 15 May 2022 to enjoy a 10% early-bird discount.  Siblings and multiple programme discounts of S$50 each apply for each family and child registering for multiple camps respectively.

3…2…1… Blast Off! Explore the exciting world of literacy by embarking on a voyage through space to learn and decode words.  Learn to segment and blend sounds, recognise words, and harness the power of phonetic spelling. Meet all the Sounds Monsters and discover the planets in our solar system while cruising through space.

   

Learning Objectives:

  1. Blend short vowels, blends, and diagraphs to make words.
  2. Segment sounds in a word (up to 4 sounds) for spelling.
  3. Learn 50 sight words.
  4. Read short sentences fluently.
 

For 3 to 5 years old
5 days / 9 AM to 12 PM or  2 PM to 5 PM

Uncover mysteries in space by decoding words and reading to acquire hard-earned pieces of information. Advance from reading to comprehension and begin to harness the power of deductive reasoning – solve puzzles and uncover the truth behind the case of the missing planets.

 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn to decode long vowels and graphemes.
  2. Develop comprehension skills by making inferences, drawing conclusions, and seeking, comparing, and contrasting information
  3. Think critically and creatively, and develop problem-solving skills.
 

For 7 to 8 years old
5 days / 9 AM to 12 PM
2 days / 9 AM to 4 PM

Activate imaginations by developing superhero personas and defeating villains using special powers learnt in class.  From building the foundations of narrative and descriptive writing, creating fictional settings, to sequencing events whilst increasing vocabulary, let’s save the world together and start nurturing the love for writing today!

 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Write creatively from the first-person point of view.
  2. Expand vocabulary/enhance familiarity with sight words.
  3. Use adjectives to describe characters and setting.
  4. Practice handwriting and penmanship.
  5. Improve oracy, and collaborative sharing and feedback.
 

For 5 to 6 years old
5 days / 9 AM to 12 PM or  2 PM to 5 PM

Travel through time to complete writing challenges and unlock levels, win challenges and eventually return to the present!  Immerse in a variety of writing tasks / activities and be introduced to a range of textual forms from poetry to descriptive, narrative and persuasive writing while engaging in creative thinking and collaboration skills.

  2. Refine sentence structure and grammar skills.
  3. Expand, enhance and extend vocabulary.

Boost confidence and presence in public speaking, presentations and show-and-tell through the development of important rhetoric skills from preparing a speech, overcoming stage fright to delivering an impressive speech. Turn the world into a stage, discover your voice and unlock the confident presenter hidden within.

  1. Cultivate the thinking process skills to build a speech.
  2. Use of vocal expression and body language in a speech.
  3. Use of index cards to facilitate speech delivery.
  4. Improve speech articulation.
  5. Develop stage confidence and presence.
 

For 6 to 8 years old

Explore public speaking and presentation by taking on the role of newscasters, reading and relating to the day’s current affairs. Learn to break down news articles, form interesting topics, and anchor a presentation individually or in groups.

  2. Use of visual aids (PowerPoint).
  3. Explore local and global news articles.
  4. Participate in individual or group presentation.
  5. Socialise through collaborative teamwork.
 

For 9 to 12 years old
5 days / 2 PM to 5 PM
2 days / 9 AM to 4 PM

Voyage on an exciting journey around the world to discover the essence of theatre play with different tales from distant lands. Immerse in stories and texts of different origins through materials crafting, drama play and acting. End off with a presentation of the travelling adventure to parents on-stage!

  2. Learn vocal dynamics by reading aloud.
  3. Share and speak up confidently.
  4. Improvise and imagine within a controlled environment.
  5. Socialise through collaborative teamwork.
 

For 3 to 5 years old
5 days / 2 PM to 5 PM

Dive into the world of children’s classics – Alice in Wonderland, The Nutcracker and more, …but with a twist. Explore the content through drama play, acting and script work, and reimagine the stories with unique plot twists and endings. End off with a showcase of the personalised story in a thrilling performance for the parents.

  1. Dramatize scripts and texts before an audience.
  2. Develop increased vocal dynamics via different stimuli.
  3. Boost creativity by reimagining children’s classics.
  4. Nurture confidence in the presentation of script/text.
  5. Socialise through collaborative teamwork.
 

For 6 to 8 years old

Be exposed to famous literary texts and discover the inner thespian hidden within! Explore the works of authors like Shel Silverstein and Edward Lear through dramatization and voicework and develop own personal value and significance to their writings. Bring the texts to life in a live performance for parents at the end of the camp.

  4. Develop confidence and presence on stage.

For 9 to 12 years old
2 days / 9 AM to 4 PM

A Collaboration with 
Emerge Arts & Media Academy:

Learn to sing in tune and work on vocal techniques such as pitching, diction and musicality – musical theatre style!  Develop skills to use facial expressions to bring out the performance of the song.  End off with an opportunity to build confidence through an exciting performance in front of a live audience of parents.
